![]() ![]() Why did Scar send Zazu back to get help during the stampede? In the original animated version, he did the exact opposite.Besides, do you think any lioness would have liked to be Scar's mate? I do not think so.Sarabi may have had a choice between marrying Mufasa or Scar, and choisng Mufasa got under Scars skin. Simba was Mufasa's only son, so he was the only one bound to marry Nala. It might also relate to the arranged married tradition Zazu told Simba and Nala about. He wants the one that Mufasa has so he can claim himself to be better than his deceased brother. Some people (and animals, I guess) want the target of their affections and nothing else.Him and Mufasa were the only males in the land. Why not flirt with them (or try to)? It's not like they have boyfriends. ![]() Sarabi rejecting Scar was part of what made him bitter and hateful, right? There are plenty of lionesses in the kingdom. He was shown running away right before Nala chose Pumbaa as her intended prey. I noticed that there's a brief 2~ second shot before the movie ends where the animal friends have joined everyone at Pride Rock at the presentation of Kiara, but after seeing the movie twice, I didn't see the fox in that scene. He's with the group during the Lion Sleeps Tonight number, but disappears after Nala attacks. Of the small group that's most often seen, one of the animals is a fox (appears to be a bat-eared fox, who commonly live in eastern and southern Africa he's to the far right in the grub-eating scene). Timon and Pumbaa in this version have friends in the wilderness. It's possible he went on a similar journey in this continuity that took him near a human village. The Lion King 1 1/2 showed us that Timon did a lot of travelling trying to find a home for himself before he and Pumbaa met Simba. How do the animals know what a "king" is? How do they know that they're called "Lions"? Why draw the line at "village", they use a whole lot of English language words they shouldn't know.An even better question is: how does Timon know what a toothbrush is? Let alone how does he know what chicken tastes like?.And perhaps the popularity of the song just spread to uncharted regions of Africa where Timon first heard the song. The title of human settlements might apply to the animal world in this movie somehow. Timon is a Meerkat, and Meerkats usually live in "Colonies". The Pridelands are considered a "Kingdom".and why would animals in the jungle understand that? The filmmakers really should've stopped at the first verse of The Lion Sleeps Tonight - as it is, exactly how in the hell does Timon know what a "village" is?.That's certainly a reason for Sarabi to be suspicious of his statement. ![]()
